Abstract
Health that needs to be considered in addition to general body health is dental and oral health, because oral and dental health can affect overall body health. Behavior is one of the factors that influence a person's health status. This study aims to obtain an overview of the level of dental and oral hygiene and brushing behavior in fifth grade students of SDN 6 Sesetan in 2019. This research is a descriptive study. The total population is 86 respondents. The results showed that the percentage of OHI-S contained good criteria as much as 41.8%, medium criteria were 57.0% and bad criteria were 1.16%. The average OHI-S in elementary school students is 1.33 including criteria in the medium criteria. The percentage of tooth brushing behavior in class V students obtained 46.5% of respondents need guidance, 12.8% with sufficient criteria, 9.30% with good criteria, and 31.4 with very good criteria and the average tooth brushing behavior of class students V reaching 64.53 is included in the criteria enough.
