Abstract
Riveiw of Medical Solid Waste Management System at Temporary Medical Waste Disposal Regional Public Hospital Buleleng District Year 2018 ABSTRACT To avoid the risk of environmental pollution and health problems, the organization of the hospital's environmental health must be in accordance with the requirements of health and hygiene. Hospital hygiene is a condition that is free from hazards and minimal risks for cross infection. The medical wastes that have been collected in each room each day will be transported by a janitor and taken to a temporary medical waste disposal site. Temporary medical waste disposal site is located at the back of the hospital. The garbage disposal is very close to the location of the visitors' vehicle parking and the location of the garbage trolley, and it is close to the residential area. The purpose of this study is to review the solid waste medical management system at the garbage disposal of Regional Public Hospital Buleleng District. The method in this research is descriptive by conducting interviews to the officer who handles medical waste as well as direct observation in the field. The solid waste medical transport system scored 80% of the total value of 100% and the solid waste medical disposal system scored 29% of the total value of 100%. Suggestion that can be submite are for the installation of maintenance of hospital facilities and infrastructure, especially the environmental health departement can provide direction to the janitor to always use personal protective equipment while working and for other researchers who want continue this research to conduct review of medical waste management managed by third party.
