Abstract
Sanitation of public place is an effort to oversee activities that take place in public places, especially those that are closely related to the emergence or contagion of an illness, so that the losses caused by these activities can be prevented. The market includes public places which are means by which people gather and hold interactions or relationships with each other. Indigenous village market Kedonganan is located on Street Beach Kedonganan, District of Kuta, Badung Regency has an area of 1 hectare and the number of traders in the market is 142 traders. The purpose of this study is to determine the state of sanitation in buildings and outside the market building. The type of research used is observational research, descriptive research method, with Cross Sectional approach. The results of the study on the state of sanitation in the building obtained a fairly good category with a score of 21 and the state of outdoor sanitation gained a good category with a score of 17. It is recommended that market managers provide temporary waste disposal sites that meet the requirements and provide hand washing places. To traders to always maintain the cleanliness of the market environment. Keywords: Sanitation, Public Places, Markets Sanitasi Tempat – Tempat Umum merupakan usaha untuk mengawasi kegiatan yang berlangsung di tempat-tempat umum terutama yang erat hubungannya dengan timbulnya atau menularnya suatu penyakit, sehingga kerugian yang ditimbulkan oleh kegiatan tersebut dapat dicegah. Pasar termasuk tempat umum yang merupakan sarana dimana orang banyak berkumpul dan mengadakan interaksi atau hubungan dengan sesamanya. Pasar Desa Adat Kedonganan terletak di Jalan Pantai Kedonganan, Kecamatan Kuta, Kabupaten Badung dengan luas tanah 1 hektar dengan jumlah pedagang yaitu 142 pedagang. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui keadaan sanitasi didalam gedung dan di luar gedung pasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian observasional, metode penelitian deskriptif, dengan pendekanan Cross Sectional. Hasil penelitian terhadap keadaan sanitasi dalam gedung memperoleh kategori cukup baik dengan skor 21 dan keadaan sanitasi luar gedung memperoleh kategori baik dengan skor 17. Disarankan kepada pengelola pasar agar menyediaan tempat pembuangan sampah sementara yang memenuhi syarat dan menyediakan tempat cuci tangan. Kepada pedagang agar selalu menjaga kebersihan lingkungan pasar. Kata kunci : Sanitasi, Tempat-tempat umum, Pasar
