Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Merokok merupakan salah satu faktor risiko yang dapat memengaruhi kadar kolesterol total dalam darah. Kebiasaan merokok dalam jangka panjang berpotensi meningkatkan risiko gangguan kesehatan, terutama penyakit kardiovaskular. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar Kolesterol total pada perokok di Kelurahan Dauh Puri Kecamatan Denpasar Barat. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan sampel sebanyak 41 orang perokok yang berada pada usia produktif (17-65 tahun) dengan teknik sampling Non Probability Sampling yaitu Purposive Sampling dengan pendekatan door-to-door. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan metode Point of Care Testing (POCT). Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar perokok memiliki kadar kolesterol total borderline pada kelompok usia 26-45 tahun sebanyak 9 responden (22,0%), dengan jumlah rokok yang dikonsumsi per hari 11-20 batang sebanyak 9 responden (22,0), dan lamanya merokok >5 tahun sebanyak 17 responden (41,5%). Kadar kolesterol total dari hasil pemeriksaan diperoleh hasil terendah yaitu 127 mg/dL, tertinggi 360 mg/dL, dengan rata-rata 214 mg/dL Simpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar perokok di Kelurahan Dauh Puri memiliki kadar Kolesterol total kategori borderline. Kata Kunci: Kolesterol total, Perokok, Hiperkolesterolemia. ABSTRACT Background: Smoking is one of the risk factors that can affect total blood cholesterol levels. Long-term smoking habits have the potential to increase the risk of health disorders, especially cardiovascular diseases. Objective: The aim of this study is to identify the profile of total cholesterol levels in smokers in Dauh Puri Subdistrict, West Denpasar District. Methods: This study used a descriptive method with a sample of 41 smokers in the productive age range (17-65 years) using Non-Probability Sampling, namely Purposive Sampling with a door-to-door approach. Data collection was carried out using the Point of Care Testing (POCT) method. Results: The results of the study showed that most smokers had borderline total cholesterol levels in the 26-45 years age group, totaling 9 respondents (22.0%), with the number of cigarettes consumed per day being 11-20 sticks, totaling 9 respondents (22.0) and the duration of smoking >5 years was reported by 17 respondents (41.5%). The total cholesterol level from the examination results obtained the lowest result of 127 mg/dL, the highest 360 mg/dL, with an average of 214 mg/dL Conclusion: It can be concluded that most smokers in Dauh Puri Subdistrict have total cholesterol levels in the borderline category.
