Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR MRS. S WITH INSTABILITY OF BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS: HYPERGLYCEMIA DUE TO DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 2 IN THE LEGONG ROOM A RSD MANGUSADA IN 2026 ABSTRACT Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia. A nursing problem that often arises is the instability of blood glucose levels: hyperglycemia. The purpose of the case report is to find out the nursing care of Mrs. S with instability in blood glucose levels: hyperglycemia due to type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at Mangusada Hospital in 2026. Descriptive case studies with a nursing care approach that includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The study found that patients complained of lethargy, blood glucose levels at 322 mg/dL of dry mouth, and persistent thirst. The established nursing diagnosis is the instability of blood glucose levels: hyperglycemia is associated with insulin resistance. The interventions used were hyperglycemia management and treatment program compliance support. Evaluation of the results shows that the problem is resolved. Hyperglycemia management and medication program adherence support are essential in stabilizing blood glucose levels and maintaining regularity in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This case report is expected to be a reference for nursing interventions regarding the appropriate handling of hyperglycemia. Keywords: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Hyperglycemia, Nursing Care. S DENGAN KETIDAKSTABILAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH: HIPERGLIKEMIA AKIBAT DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2 DI RUANG LEGONG A RSD MANGUSADA TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Diabetes Melitus (DM) tipe 2 adalah penyakit metabolik yang ditandai dengan hiperglikemia. Masalah keperawatan yang sering muncul adalah ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah: hiperglikemia. Tujuan laporan kasus yaitu untuk mengetahui asuhan keperawatan pada Ny. S dengan ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah: hiperglikemia akibat Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 di RSD Mangusada tahun 2026. Studi kasus deskriptif dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis, intervensi, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Pengkajian didapatkan pasien mengeluh lesu, hasil kadar glukosa darah sewaktu 322 mg/dL mulut kering, dan haus terus-menerus. Diagnosis keperawatan yang ditegakkan adalah ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah: hipergliekemia berhubungan dengan resistensi insulin. Intervensi yang digunakaan yaitu manajemen hiperglikemia dan dukungan kepatuhan program pengobatan. Evaluasi hasil menunjukkan masalah teratasi. Manajemen hiperglikemia dan dukungan kepatuhan program pengobatan sangat penting dalam menstabilkan kadar glukosa darah dan menjaga keteraturan pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Laporan kasus ini diharapkan menjadi acuan intervensi keperawatan mengenai penanganan hiperglikemia dengan tepat. Kata Kunci: Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2, Hiperglikemia, Asuhan Keperawatan.
