Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP OF DIABETES SELF CARE MANAGEMENT WITH BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS IN TYPE 2 DIABETES MELITUS PATIENTS AT PUBLIC HEALTH OF ABIANSEMAL II IN 2019 ABSTRACT Luh Gde Dwirini Novitha Putri Diabetes mellitus causes many complications. Occasional complications occur when blood glucose is bad due to poor self-care management. The prevalence of DM in Public Health of Abiansemal II is increased to 435 people in 2018. The purpose of the study is to determine the relationship between DSCM and blood glucose levels in type 2 DM patients at the UPT Kesmas Abiansemal II in 2019. Research design used correlational analytics. The number of samples are 78 people with purposive sampling technique. Blood glucose levels measured were blood glucose at the time and DSCM with the SDSCA questionnaire. The results showed that 38.5% respondent had a range of 55-60 years, 61.5% were women, 34,6% has basic educations level, 76.9% worked, 85.9 had suffered from DM 5- 8 years. The highest DSCM was in the low category of 33 people (42.3%), moderate 31 people (39.8%), and high 14 people (17.9%). The highest blood glucose levels in the bad category were 42 people (53.8%) and good 36 people (46.2%). The hypothesis was tested by chi square with the results of p = 0,000 (α = 0.05). It can be conclude that there is a relationship between DSCM and blood glucose levels. The values of low DSCM 94,250 and moderate DSCM 8,211, compared to high DSCM. It is expected that DM patients to improve the implementation of DSCM and health workers emphasize the importance of DSCM. Komplikasi sewaktu-waktu terjadi apabila glukosa darah buruk akibat self care management yang tidak baik. Di UPT Kesmas Abiansemal II prevalensi DM mengalami kenaikan menjadi 435 orang pada tahun 2018. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan DSCM dengan kadar glukosa darah pada pasien DM tipe 2 di UPT Kesmas Abiansemal II tahun 2019. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan analitik korelasional. Jumlah sampel 78 orang dengan teknik purposive sampling. Kadar glukosa darah diukur ialah glukosa darah sewaktu dan DSCM dengan kuisioner SDSCA. Hasil penelitian menunjukan 30 responden (38,5%) berusi 55-60 tahun, 48 orang (61,5%) ialah perempuan, 27 orang (34,6%) pendidikan terakhir SD, 60 orang (76,9%) bekerja, 67 orang (85,95) lama menderita DM 5-8 tahun. DSCM terbanyak pada kategori rendah 33 orang (42,3%), sedang 31 orang (39,8%), dan tinggi 14 orang (17,9%). Kadar glukosa darah terbanyak pada kategori buruk 42 orang (53,8%) dan baik 36 orang (46,2%). Hipotesis diuji dengan chi square dengan hasil p=0,000 (α=0,05). Disimpulkan terdapat hubungan antara DSCM dengan kadar glukosa darah. Nilai OR DSCM rendah 94,250 dan DSCM sedang 8,211, dibandingkan DSCM tinggi. Diharapkan kepada penderita DM untuk meningkatkan pelaksanaan DSCM dan tenaga kesehatan lebih menekankan pentingnya DSCM. Kata Kunci : Diabetes Melitus tipe 2, self care management, glukosa darah
