Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS OF TAILORS OF THE GARMENT INDUSTRY IN THE DENPASAR SELATAN REGION ABSTRACT Background : Uric acid is produced by every living thing as a result of cell metabolic processes that function to maintain life. A person's physical activity depends on the type of work. The work activities carried out in the sewing section of the garment industry are identical to those of sitting for a long time. Risk factors that cause people to develop gout are age, excessive intake of purine compounds, excessive alcohol consumption, obesity (obesity), lack of physical activity and gender. Objective: Research Objectives To determine the description of uric acid levels in the garment industry tailors in the South Denpasar region. Methods: This research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive study conducted in the garment area of South Denpasar with a total population of 224 people and a total sample of 37 people. Data collection techniques were interviews and laboratory tests using POCT (Point Of Care Testing) tools. Results: The results of uric acid examination of 37 respondents with the results of 25 respondents (67,57%) belonging to the high category and 12 respondents (32,43 %) normal. Conclusion: Based on the research results, most of the uric acid levels in the garment industry tailors in the South Denpasar area are in the high category. Keywords: uric acid, tailors, garment GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PENJAHIT INDUSTRI GARMEN DI WILAYAH DENPASAR SELATAN ABSTRAK Latar belakang : Asam urat dihasilkan oleh setiap makhluk hidup sebagai hasil dari proses metabolisme sel yang berfungsi untuk memelihara kelangsungan hidup. Aktivitas fisik seseorang tergantung dari jenis pekerjaannya. Aktivitas kerja yang dilakukan dibagian penjahitan industri garmen identik dengan posisi duduk dalam jangka waktu lama. Faktor risiko yang menyebabkan orang terserang penyakit asam urat adalah usia, asupan senyawa purin berlebihan, konsumsi alkohol berlebih, kegemukan (obesitas), kurangnya aktivitas fisik serta jenis kelamin. Tujuan : Tujuan Penelitian Mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat penjahit industri garmen di wilayah Denpasar Selatan. Metode : Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang dilakukan di garmen wilayah Denpasar Selatan dengan jumlah populasi 224 orang dan total 37 sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah Wawancara serta Pemeriksaan laboratorium menggunakan alat POCT (Point Of Care Testing). Hasil : Hasil pemeriksaan asam urat terhadap 37 responden dengan hasil sebanyak 25 responden (67,57 %) termasuk kategori tinggi dan 12 responden (32,43 %) normal. Kesimpulan : Berdasarkan Hasil penelitian kadar asam urat penjahit industri garmen di wilayah Denpasar Selatan sebagian besar termasuk dalam kategori tinggi Kata kunci : asam urat, penjahit, garmen
