Abstract
THE DESCRIPTION OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS OF WOOD CRAFTSMEN IN BUKIT VILLAGE KARANGASEM DISTRICT KARANGASEM REGENCY ABSTRACT Cholesterol is one of the important substances in the body, but when the level exceeds the normal limit in the blood it will have a bad impact on the heart and can stick to the walls of blood vessels. Wood craftsmen belong to the informal sector workers who use wood as the main raw material in their production process. To determine total cholesterol levels in wood craftsmen in Bukit Village, Karangasem District, Karangasem Regency in general. This research method is a descriptive qualitative research conducted in February-May 2023 with a total of 36 respondents obtained by simple random sampling technique. Research Total cholesterol levels were measured using the Point Of Care Testing (POCT) method. In this study, out of 36 respondents, 21 people (58.3%) had normal total cholesterol levels, 9 people (25.0%) had high threshold total cholesterol levels, and 6 people (16.7%) had high total cholesterol levels. High total cholesterol levels were more commonly found at the age of 26-45 years (47.2%), had moderate physical activity (41.7%), frequently consumed foods containing fat (56.6%), had smoking habits 1- 10 cigarettes per day (58.3%), and drink lots of coffee 1-3 cups per day (66.7%). Most of the wood craftsmen in Bukit Village, Karangasem District, Karangasem Regency have normal total cholesterol levels. Key words : Total Cholesterol Levels, Wood Craftsmen GAMBARAN KADAR KOLESTEROL TOTAL PADA PENGRAJIN KAYU DI DESA BUKIT KECAMATAN KARANGASEM KABUPATEN KARANGASEM ABSTRAK Kolesterol adalah salah satu zat yang penting dalam tubuh, tetapi ketika kadar tersebut melebihi batas normal pada darah akan memberikan dampak buruk bagi jantung dan dapat menempel pada dinding pembuluh darah. Pengrajin kayu termasuk kedalam pekerja sector informal yang menggunakan kayu sebagai bahan baku utama dalam proses produksinya. Untuk mengetahui kadar kolesterol total pada pengrajin kayu di Desa Bukit Kecamatan Karangasem Kabupaten Karangasem secara umum. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Mei 2023 dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 36 orang yang diperoleh dengan teknik simple random sampling. Penelitian Kadar Kolesterol Total diukur dengan menggunakan metode Point Of Care Testing (POCT). Pada penelitian ini menunjukan, dari 36 responden 21 orang (58,3%) memiliki kadar kolesterol total normal, 9 orang (25,0%) memiliki kadar kolesterol total ambang batas tinggi, dan 6 orang (16,7%) memiliki kadar kolesterol total tinggi. Kadar kolesterol total tinggi lebih banyak ditemukan pada usia 26-45 tahun (47,2%), memiliki aktivitas fisik sedang (41,7%), dengan mengonsumsi makanan yang mengandung lemak sering (56,6%), memiliki kebiasaan merokok 1-10 batang perhari (58,3%), dan banyak minum kopi 1-3 cangkir perhari (66,7%). Sebagian besar pengrajin kayu di Desa Bukit Kecamatan Karangasem Kabupaten Karangasem memiliki kadar kolesterol total normal. Kata kunci : Kadar Kolesterol Total, Pengrajin Kayu
