Abstract
THE DESCRIPTION OF MICRO NUTRIENT INTAKE AND BLOOD PRESSURE IN ELDERLY AT SIBANGGEDE VILLAGE ABIANSEMAL SUBDISTRICT BADUNG REGENCY ABSTRACT Blood pressure is the pressure on the artery walls when the heart is pumping blood. Increased persistent systolic and diastolic blood pressure is called hypertension. One way to prevent the occurrence of high blood pressure is by eating foods that contain high potassium, and reduce foods containing high sodium. The aim of this study is to know the description of micro nutrient intake and blood pressure in elderly at Sibanggede Village Abiansemal Subdistrict Badung regency. The type of research conducted in this study is a descriptive observational type, with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted at Banjar Village Hall of Sibanggede Abiansemal Sub-district of Badung Regency. The sample of this study is elderly, amounting to 79 people. The sampling technique used is Non Random Sampling with consectutive sampling methode. The results showed that a total of 9 samples with excessive sodium intake all had blood pressure above normal, as many as 40 samples with less potassium intake, there are 34 samples that have blood pressure above normal, A total of 40 samples with less magnesium intake, there are 34 samples has a blood pressure above normal, and a total of 42 samples with a low calcium intake, there are 37 samples that have blood pressure above normal.
