Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN THE ELDERLY IN BUDENG VILLAGE JEMBRANA DISTRICT JEMBRANA REGENCY ABSTRACT Gout or arthritis gout is a joint disease caused by high levels of uric acid produced from purine production in the body. The prevalence of uric acid events increases in the elderly due to degenerative processes that will affect the metabolism of uric acid in the blood. This study aims to describe uric acid levels in the elderly in Budeng Village, Jembrana District, Jembrana Regency by using a descriptive research type. The number of samples taken is 30 respondents obtained using purposive sampling research method. This research was conducted from March to April 2023. Data collection was carried out through interviews by filling out questionnaires and examining uric acid levels using the POCT Easy Touch GCU brand. The results showed that 16 respondents (53.3%) had high uric acid levels and 14 respondents (46.7%) in the normal category with 55-65 years of age, 9 respondents (30.0%), men with 10 respondents (33.4%) consumed high purine foods 7 respondents (23.3%), and moderate physical activity 5 respondents (16.7%). It can be concluded that most of the elderly in Budeng Village, Jembrana District, Jembrana Regency have increased uric acid levels which can be caused by several factors. Keywords: uric acid levels, elderly GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA LANSIA DI DESA BUDENG KECAMATAN JEMBRANA KABUPATEN JEMBRANA ABSTRAK Penyakit asam urat atau penyakit arthritis gout merupakan penyakit sendi yang disebabkan oleh tingginya kadar asam urat yang dihasilkan dari produksi purin di dalam tubuh. Prevalensi angka kejadian asam urat meningkat pada lansia disebabkan oleh proses degeneratif yang akan mempengaruhi metabolisme asam urat dalam darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada lansia di Desa Budeng, Kecamatan Jembrana, Kabupaten Jembrana dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Jumlah sampel yang diambil yaitu 30 responden yang diperoleh menggunakan metode penelitian purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan Maret hingga April 2023. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan pengisian kuesioner dan pemeriksaan kadar asam urat menggunakan alat POCT merk Easy Touch GCU. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar asam urat kategori tinggi sebanyak 16 responden (53,3%) dan kategori normal sebanyak 14 responden (46,7%) dengan karakteristik usia 55-65 tahun sejumlah 9 responden (30,0%), laki-laki dengan jumlah 10 responden (33,4%), mengonsumsi makanan tinggi purin sejumlah 7 responden (23,3%), dan aktivitas fisik sedang dengan jumlah 5 responden (16,7%). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar lansia di Desa Budeng Kecamatan Jembrana Kabupaten Jembrana mengalami peningkatan kadar asam urat yang dapat disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor.
