Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN COFFEE DRINKERS IN BESUKI VILLAGE BESUKI DISTRICT SITUBONDO REGENCY IN 2023 ABSTRACT Coffee beans contain several elements such as caffeine and polyphenolic compounds. The polyphenolic compounds contain a lot of chlorogenic acid, which functions in uric acid metabolism. Gout is a disease caused by the deposition of purine crystals in tissues. According to a preliminary survey conducted that respondents who consumed 3-4 cups of coffee had lower uric acid levels compared to 3 people who consumed 1-2 cups of coffee. The purpose of this study was to determine uric acid levels in coffee drinkers in Besuki Village, Besuki District, Situbondo Regency. This research is a descriptive research using the POCT examination method. The sampling technique used accidental sampling of 85 male and female respondents aged 17-72 years with characteristics of physical activity, duration of coffee consumption, and frequency of coffee consumption. The results obtained by respondents had normal uric acid levels as many as 86% while those with high uric acid levels were 14%. The dominant normal uric acid levels were found to be 17-24 years old, namely 36,47%, male gender, namely 54,12%, physical activity in the good category, namely 65,88%, the length of time consuming coffee in the 3-9 year category, namely 37,65%, and the frequency of coffee consumption in the 400 ml category, namely 42,35%. Most of the respondents' uric acid levels were in the normal category. Keywords : Coffee; Uric acid levels GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA PEMINUM KOPI DI DESA BESUKI KECAMATAN BESUKI KABUPATEN SITUBONDO TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Biji kopi mengandung beberapa unsur seperti kafein dan senyawa polifenol. Pada senyawa polifenol banyak mengandung asam klorogenat yang berfungsi pada metabolisme asam urat. Asam urat yaitu penyakit akibat pengendapan kristal purin dalam jaringan. Menurut survey pendahuluan yang dilakukan bahwa responden yang mengonsumsi kopi 3-4 cangkir memiliki kadar asam urat yang lebih rendah dibandingkan 3 orang yang mengonsumsi kopi 1-2 cangkir. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kadar asam urat pada peminum kopi di Desa Besuki, Kecamatan Besuki, Kabupaten Situbondo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode pemeriksaan POCT. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling 85 responden laki-laki dan perempuan berusia 17-72 tahun dengan karakteristik aktivitas fisik, lamanya konsumsi kopi, dan frekuensi konsumsi kopi. Hasil yang didapat responden memiliki kadar asam urat normal sebanyak 86% sedangkan yang memiliki kadar asam urat tinggi sebanyak 14%. Kadar asam urat normal dominan ditemukan 17-24 tahun yaitu 36,47%, jenis kelamin laki-laki yaitu 54,12%, aktivitas fisik kategori baik yaitu 65,88%, lamanya mengonsumsi kopi kategori 3-9 tahun yaitu 37,65%, dan frekuensi konsumsi kopi kategori 400 ml yaitu 42,35%. Kadar asam urat responden sebagian besar termasuk dalam kategori normal. Kata kunci : kopi; kadar asam urat
