Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN TRANS METRO DEWATA BUS DRIVERS CORRIDORS 3 AND 4 IN DENPASAR CITY 2023 ABSTRACT Background uric acid is the end product of purine metabolism, both from the food consumed and from the breakdown of body protein (damaged body cells). Excessive buildup of uric acid in the body can trigger Gout which is an arthritis disease (arthritis). In one study, the uric acid levels of bus drivers showed that the majority had normal uric acid levels. This may be due to the physical condition and ability of a person's purine metabolism rate to be different. Meanwhile, high uric acid levels were found in some bus drivers who lacked physical activity, consumed high-purine foods and alcohol. The Purpose of this study was to describe uric acid levels in Trans Metro Dewata Bus drivers Corridors 3 & 4 in Denpasar City in 2023 using the POCT method. This research Method is descriptive observative type research. Sampling in this study using non-probability sampling technique. The Results obtained by respondents who had normal uric acid levels were 23 respondents (46%) while those who had high uric acid levels were 8 respondents (16%). Dominant normal uric acid levels were found in 60-65 years, namely 5 respondents (22%). The Conclusion of this study, from 50 respondents, the majority of respondents had normal uric acid levels, and 7 of them had high uric acid levels. Keywords : Uric acid, Bus drivers GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA PENGEMUDI BUS TRANS METRO DEWATA KORIDOR 3 & 4 DI KOTA DENPASAR TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Latar belakang asam urat merupakan sisa hasil akhir metabolisme purin baik yang berasal dari makanan yang dikonsumsi maupun yang berasal dari pemecahan protein tubuh (sel tubuh yang rusak). Penumpukan asam urat berlebihan di dalam tubuh bisa memicu Gout yang merupakan penyakit arthritis (radang sendi). Pada sebuah penelitian, kadar asam urat pengemudi bus menunjukkan mayoritas memiliki kadar asam urat yang normal. Hal ini mungkin disebabkan oleh kondisi fisik dan kemampuan laju metabolisme purin seseorang berbeda. Sementara, kadar asam urat tinggi ditemukan pada beberapa pengemudi bus yang kurang aktivitas fisik, mengkonsumsi makanan tinggi purin serta alkohol. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada pengemudi Bus Trans Metro Dewata Koridor 3 & 4 di Kota Denpasar tahun 2023 dengan metode POCT. Metode penelitian ini yaitu penelitian jenis deskriptif observative. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non probability sampling. Hasil yang didapat responden memiliki kadar asam urat normal sebanyak 23 responden (46%) sedangkan yang memiliki kadar asam urat tinggi sebanyak 8 responden (16%). Kadar asam urat normal dominan ditemukan 60-65 tahun yaitu 5 responden (22%). Simpulan dari penelitian ini, dari 50 responden, mayoritas responden memiliki kadar asam urat normal, dan 7 diantaranya memiliki kadar asam urat tinggi. Kata kunci : Asam urat, pengemudi Bus
