Abstract
HISTORY OF BIRTH WEIGHT EXCLUSIVE BREAST FEEDING AND INFECTION DISEASES WITH THE STUNTING STATUS OF CHILDREN AGED 6 – 36 MONTHS IN PEJATEN VILLAGE, TABANAN DISTRICT ABSTRACT Stunting is a condition of failure to thrive in children with chronic malnutrition in the period of growth and development early in life or known as the first 1,000 days of life (HPK) which is characterized by body length/height that does not match their age and then categorized based on z calculations. -scores. The problem of stunting nutrition is influenced by direct factors including food intake, exclusive breastfeeding, infectious diseases. Indirect factors include birth weight, maternal characteristics including education, knowledge, economic status. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between birth weight history of exclusive breastfeeding and infectious diseases with the stunting status of children aged 6-36 months in Pejaten village, Tabanan district. This type of research used a cross-sectional research design with a total sample of 61. The sampling method was carried out by means of interviews and measurements. Test analysis using Rank Spearman Correlation. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between history of birth weight and child stunting status (-value = 0.013). For the results of the history analysis test of exclusive breastfeeding with the child's stunting status, it showed no relationship (-value = 0.190). For the results of the analysis test for the history of infectious diseases and the child's stunting status, it shows that there is a relationship (-value = 0.022).
