Abstract
Anemia is one of the four main nutritional problems in Indonesia and most anemia is caused by iron deficiency. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in knowledge about anemia and the frequency of drinking tea based on hemoglobin levels in female students at SMA Negeri 1 Abiansemal. This type of research is an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sample size in this study was 73 female students. Variables were collected by interview method with tools from FFQ, questionnaires and measurement of blood hemoglobin levels. Data is presented with frequency tables and cross tables and then analyzed using an independent t-test. The results showed that of the 73 samples, there were 48 samples (65.75%) with a good level of knowledge, 36 samples (49.32%) with a frequency of drinking tea frequently. Twenty samples (27.40%) had hemoglobin levels <12 g/dl. From the results of the independent test analysis t-test showed that there were differences in knowledge about anemia based on hemoglobin levels p = 0.000 < (0.05). And there are differences in the frequency of drinking tea based on hemoglobin levels p = 0.000 < (0.05). Keywords: Hb levels, knowledge, tea, young women
