Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF HbA1C LEVELS IN TYPE 2 DIABETES MELITUS PATIENTS WITH DIABETIC FOOT AT KLUNGKUNG HOSPITAL IN 2023 ABSTRACT Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that occurs due to impaired insulin secretion and insulin resistance. One of the complications that can be caused is diabetic foot. In preventing the worsening of diabetes complications, it is very important to monitor HbA1C levels. HbA1C is used as the main standard for long-term glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus in knowing the description of blood glucose levels for the last two to three months. This study aims to describe HbA1C levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with diabetic feet at Klungkung Hospital in 2023. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study. The sampling technique used is Non Probability Sampling, namely Purposive Sampling with a total sample of 44 respondents. The data collected is secondary data obtained from medical records. The results showed that of the 44 respondents with type 2 diabetes mellitus with diabetic foot, the most age (45.5%) occurred in the age range of 50-59 years, most of which (52.3%) were experienced by women, and the majority (52.3%) of respondents did not work with the results of checking HbA1C levels, the majority (70.5%) were in the category of poorly controlled. Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that they will continue to monitor HbA1C in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with diabetic feet in preventing worsening complications. Keywords: HbA1C levels, diabetic foot, type 2 diabetes mellitus GAMBARAN KADAR HbA1C PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 DENGAN KAKI DIABETIK DI RSUD KLUNGKUNG TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Diabetes melitus tipe 2 merupakan penyakit metabolik yang terjadi akibat gangguan sekresi insulin dan resistensi insulin. Salah satu komplikasi yang dapat diakibatkan yaitu kaki diabetik. Dalam mencegah perburukan komplikasi diabetes, sangat penting untuk melakukan pemantauan terhadap kadar HbA1C. HbA1C digunakan sebagai standar utama kontrol glikemik jangka panjang pasien diabetes melitus dalam mengetahui gambaran kadar glukosa darah selama dua sampai tiga bulan terakhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar HbA1C pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan kaki diabetik di RSUD Klungkung Tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Non Probability Sampling yaitu Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah sampel 44 responden. Data yang dikumpulkan merupakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari rekam medis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 44 responden pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan kaki diabetik, usia paling banyak (45,5%) terjadi pada rentang usia 50-59 tahun, yang sebagian besar (52,3%) dialami oleh perempuan, dan sebagian besar (52,3%) responden tidak bekerja dengan hasil pemeriksaan kadar HbA1C sebagian besar (70,5%) berada pada kategori terkontrol buruk. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diharapkan agar tetap melakukan pemantauan terhadap HbA1C pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan kaki diabetik dalam mencegah perburukan komplikasi.
