Abstract
THE DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN THE MIDDLE AGE SOCIETY AT BANJAR BUSUNG YEH KAUH WEST DENPASAR DISTRICT DENPASAR CITY ABSTRACT Background middle-aged people in Banjar Busung Yeh Kauh often complain of fatigue, soreness in the waist, low back pain, and tingling around the muscles and joints at work or after work. This condition can trigger an increase in uric acid. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of uric acid levels in middle-aged society in Banjar Busung Yeh Kauh West Denpasar District Denpasar City. This research method uses a descriptive research method which was carried out in February - April 2022 with a total of 36 respondents obtained by purposive sampling technique. Uric acid levels were measured using the POCT (Point Of Care Testing) method. The results showed that from 36 respondents, 19 people (52.8%) had normal uric acid levels and 17 people (47.2%) had high uric acid levels. High uric acid levels were more commonly found in the age range of 50-54 years as many as 15 people (41,7%) and more experienced by people with male sex as many as 14 people (38,9%). The conclusion from the results of this study was that the increase in uric acid levels was more commonly found in the age range of 50-54 years as many as 15 people (41.7%) while based on gender the increase in uric acid levels was more experienced by male respondents as many as 14 people (38 people). ,9%). Keywords : middle age, uric acid GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA MASYARAKAT USIA PERTENGAHAN DI BANJAR BUSUNG YEH KAUH KECAMATAN DENPASAR BARAT KOTA DENPASAR ABSTRAK Latar belakang masyarakat usia pertengahan di Banjar Busung Yeh Kauh mengeluhkan sering mengalami kelelahan, pegal-pegal pada pinggang, nyeri pinggang, dan kesemutan di sekitar daerah otot dan sendi pada saat bekerja atau setelah bekerja. Kondisi tersebut dapat memicu terjadinya peningkatan asam urat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada masyarakat usia pertengahan di Banjar Busung Yeh Kauh Kecamatan Denpasar Barat Kota Denpasar. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan pada bulan Februari – April 2022 dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 36 orang yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Kadar asam urat diukur menggunakan metode POCT (Point Of Care Testing). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 36 responden terdapat 17 orang (47,2%) memiliki kadar asam urat tinggi. Kadar asam urat tinggi lebih banyak ditemukan pada rentang usia 50-54 tahun sebanyak 15 orang (41,7%) serta lebih banyak dialami oleh masyarakat dengan jenis kelamin laki-laki yaitu sebanyak 14 orang (38,9%). Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah kadar asam urat tinggi lebih banyak ditemukan pada rentang usia 50-54 tahun sebanyak 15 orang (41,7%) dan jenis kelamin laki-laki sebanyak 14 orang (38,9%).
