Abstract

SCREENING SARS-COV-2 IN SEMESTER 2 DEPARTMENT STUDENTS MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY POLTEKKES KEMENKES DENPASAR ABSTRACT Background COVID-19 is a disease caused by the highly contagious SARS-CoV-2 virus with an incubation period of one to fourteen days. The main manifestations include fever, fatigue and dry cough. The examination that is currently common and widely used is the Rapid Diagnostic Test Antigen (RDT-Ag). The COVID-19 antigen test is a lateral flow immunoassay based on the principle of the double antibody sandwich technique. Sars-Cov-2 nucleocapsid protein monoclonal antibody conjugated with color microparticles was used as a detector and sprayed on the conjugate pad. The purpose of this study is to find out the results of the COVID-19 RDT-Ag examination on semester 2 students majoring in Medical Laboratory Technology, Ministry of Health, Denpasar Health Polytechnic. The study was conducted on May 9, 2022 with a population of 185 people and a sample of 19 people. The method uses in this study is a type of descriptive research with non-probability sampling technique by accidental sampling. The COVID-19 examination was carried out using the Rapid Diagnostic Test Antigen Swab method. The results of this study showed a total sample of 19 people obtained negative results (-) with a percentage of 100%. Based on the data and results obtained, it is concluded that the characteristics (co-morbidities, decreased body resistance and compliance with the application of health protocols) there is no 100% chance of the risk of being infected with COVID-19 Keywords: Sars-Cov-2 SCREENING SARS-COV-2 PADA MAHASISWA SEMESTER 2 JURUSAN TEKNOLOGI LABORATORIUM MEDIS POLTEKKES KEMENKES DENPASAR TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Latar belakang COVID-19 merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus SARS-CoV-2 yang sangat menular dengan masa inkubasi adalah satu hingga empat belas hari. Manifestasi utama meliputi demam, kelelahan dan batuk kering. Pemeriksaan yang saat ini umum dan banyak digunakan yaitu Rapid Diagnostic Test Antigen (RDT-Ag). Tes antigen COVID-19 adalah immunoassay aliran lateral berdasarkan prinsip teknik sandwich antibody ganda. Antibodi monoclonal protein nukleokapsid Sars-Cov-2 yang dikonjugasikan dengan mikropartikel warna digunakan sebagai pendeteksi dan disemprotkan pada bantalan konjugasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil pemeriksaan COVID-19 RDT-Ag pada mahasiswa semester 2 jurusan Teknologi Laboratorium Medis Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 9 bulan Mei 2022 dengan jumlah populasi 185 orang dan sampel sebanyak 19 orang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik non probability sampling secara accidental sampling. Pemeriksaan COVID-19 dilakukan dengan metode Rapid Diagnostic Test Swab Antigen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dengan total jumlah sampel 19 orang diperoleh hasil negatif (-) dengan persentase 100%. Berdasarkan data dan hasil yang diperoleh, disimpulkan bahwa karakteristik (penyakit penyerta, penurunan daya tahan tubuh dan kepatuhan penerapan protokol kesehatan) tidak berkemungkinan 100% terhadap resiko terinfeksi COVID-19.
