Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVEL ON TUAK DRINKERS IN BANJAR DINAS PERASI KANGIN PERTIMA VILLAGE KARANGASEM DISTRICT KARANGASEM REGENCY ABSTRACT Uric acid is the end product of a catabolism in the form of substances called purines. There are several factors that can increase of uric acid levels such as age, long period of tuak consumption, frequency of tuak consumption, high purine consumption, and genetic history. People who drink tuak have a high risk of increasing uric acid because tuak is a drink that contains alcohol so that it can affect uric acid levels in the body. The purpose of this research was to determine the description of uric acid levels in tuak drinkers in Banjar Perasi Kangin Department, Pertima Village, Karangasem District, Karangasem Regency. The research sample were 41 people who had met the inclusion criteria. Examination of uric acid levels was carried out using the POCT method. The results of this research discovered that tuak drinkers with normal uric acid levels were 36.5% and high uric acid levels were 63.5%. High uric acid levels are more dominant in the age group 35-49 years 24.5%, long period of tuak consumption is > 8 years 41.4%, the frequency of tuak consumption 1-2x/week is 34.2%, the habit of consuming high purine foods ≥ 3 x/week 31.7%, and not having a genetic history as much as 51.2%. Keywords: uric acid, tuak drinkers GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA PEMINUM TUAK DI BANJAR DINAS PERASI KANGIN DESA PERTIMA KECAMATAN KARANGASEM KABUPATEN KARANGASEM ABSTRAK Asam urat merupakan hasil akhir dari suatu katabolisme yang berupa zat bernama purin. Peningkatan kadar asam urat dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor umur, lama konsumsi tuak, frekuensi konsumsi tuak, konsumsi makanan tinggi purin, dan riwayat genetik. Masyarakat yang meminum tuak memiliki risiko tinggi terhadap peningkatan asam urat karena tuak termasuk minuman yang mengandung alkohol sehingga bisa mempengaruhi kadar asam urat dalam tubuh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada peminum tuak di Banjar Dinas Perasi Kangin, Desa Pertima, Kecamatan Karangasem, Kabupaten Karangasem. Sampel penelitian adalah 41 orang yang sudah memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pemeriksaan kadar asam urat dilakukan menggunakan metode POCT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peminum tuak dengan kadar asam urat normal sebesar 36,5% dan kadar asam urat tinggi sebesar 63,5%. Kadar asam urat tinggi lebih didominasi pada kelompok umur 35-49 tahun 24,5%, lama konsumsi tuak > 8 tahun 41,4%, frekuensi konsumsi tuak 1-2 x/seminggu 34,2%, kebiasaan konsumsi makanan tinggi purin ≥ 3 x/seminggu 31,7%, dan tidak memiliki riwayat keturunan sebanyak 51,2%.
