Abstract

ABSTRAK Diare masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di Indonesia, terutama bagi balita, termasuk di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pada. Hal ini disebabkan oleh faktor higiene sanitasi yang masih buruk. Ketersediaan sarana air bersih, sarana jamban sehat, kebiasaan mencuci tangan pada waktu penting, pengelolaan makanan dan minuman, serta penanganan sampah dan limbah sering kali memiliki hubungan yang dengan kejadian diare. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan higiene sanitasi dengna kejadian diare di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pada. Penelitian menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian ini, berjumlah 173 di hitung menggunakan rumus Slovin. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner dan lembar observasi kemudian di analisis menggunakan uji chi-square. Didapatkan hasil adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara higiene sanitasi dengan kejadian diare pada balita, p value < 0,05) untuk variabel higiene sanitasi dengan kejadian diare pada balita (p = 0,000).Kesimpulan penelitian ini terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara higiene sanitasi dengan kejadian diare pada balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pada. Kata Kunci : higiene sanitasi, diare, balita. ABSTRACT Diarrhea remains a health problem in Indonesia, especially among toddlers, including in the service area of the Pada Community Health Center (Puskesmas Pada). This is due to poor hygiene and sanitation conditions. The availability of clean water, proper sanitation facilities, the practice of handwashing at critical times, food and beverage management, and waste and sewage disposal are often linked to the incidence of diarrhea. Based on this, the purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between sanitation and hygiene and the incidence of diarrhea in the service area of the Pada Community Health Center. The study used an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample, totaling 173 participants, was calculated using the Slovin formula. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets and then analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed a significant association between sanitation hygiene and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers (p-value < 0.05) for the sanitation hygiene variable and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers (p = 0.000). The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant association between sanitation hygiene and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers within the service area of the Pada Community Health Center Keywords: sanitation hygiene, diarrhea, and toddlers.
