Abstract

Perbedaan Pengetahuan Ibu Tentang Pendidikan Seksual Pada Anak Sekolah Dasar Kelas 1–6 Sebelum Dan Sesudah Edukasi Dengan Booklet ABSTRAK Pendidikan seksual pada anak usia sekolah dasar merupakan upaya penting dalam mencegah kekerasan dan pelecehan seksual pada anak. Rendahnya pengetahuan ibu mengenai pendidikan seksual menyebabkan orang tua belum optimal dalam memberikan perlindungan dan edukasi sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengetahuan ibu tentang pendidikan seksual pada anak sekolah dasar kelas 1–6 sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi kesehatan menggunakan media booklet. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre-eksperimental dengan pendekatan one group pretest–posttest terhadap 65 responden ibu di Desa Waijarang, Kecamatan Nubatukan, Kabupaten Lembata. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor pengetahuan ibu sebelum intervensi berada pada kategori sedang dengan rerata 11,17 ± 2,49. Setelah intervensi, terjadi peningkatan menjadi kategori tinggi dengan rerata 19,14 ± 0,98. Uji paired t-test menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (t = -23,660; p = 0,000). Uji normalitas menunjukkan data tidak berdistribusi normal (p < 0,05) sehingga dilakukan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test yang juga menunjukkan hasil signifikan (Z = 7,029; p < 0,001). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah edukasi kesehatan menggunakan booklet efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang pendidikan seksual pada anak sekolah dasar kelas 1–6. Program edukasi berbasis booklet direkomendasikan untuk terus dikembangkan agar lebih mudah dipahami dan menjangkau masyarakat luas secara berkelanjutan di masyarakat luas. Differences in Mothers’ Knowledge about Sexual Education for Elementary School Children Grades 1–6 Before and After Education Using a Booklet ABSTRACT Sexual education for elementary school-aged children is an important effort to prevent violence and sexual abuse against children. The low level of mothers’ knowledge regarding sexual education results in parents being less optimal in providing protection and early education for their children. This study aimed to determine differences in mothers’ knowledge about sexual education for elementary school children grades 1–6 before and after health education using booklet media. This study used a pre-experimental one group pretest–posttest design involving 65 mothers in Waijarang Village, Lembata. The research instrument was a knowledge questionnaire. The results showed mothers’ knowledge before intervention was in moderate category with mean 11.17 ± 2.49. After intervention, knowledge increased to high category with mean 19.14 ± 0.98. The paired t-test showed significant difference (t=-23.660; p=0.000). Normality test showed data were not normally distributed (p<0.05), so Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed significant result (Z=7.029; p<0.001). Conclusion: health education using booklet effectively improves mothers’ knowledge about sexual education for elementary school children grades 1–6 in elementary school settings across regions. Booklet-based education programs are recommended for further development to reach wider community sustainably and improve accessibility of health education materials in rural areas.
