Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF PEER ROLES IN ADOLESCENT PREGNANCY IN THE WORKING AREA OF OKA PRIMARY HEALTH CENTER,EAST FLORES REGENCY ABSTRACT Adolescent pregnancy remains a serious reproductive health challenge in Indonesia, particularly in East Nusa Tenggara. In the working area of Puskesmas Oka, East Flores Regency, cases showed an increasing trend: 6 cases (2023), 8 cases (2024), and 10 cases in the first semester of 2025. Peers play a highly strategic role in shaping adolescent behavior, norms, and reproductive decisionmaking. This study aimed to describe the role of peers in relation to adolescent pregnancy in that area. A descriptive quantitative design was employed using total sampling of 24 adolescent girls who had experienced pregnancy. Data were collected in March–April 2026 using a structured 40-item questionnaire measuring five dimensions of peer roles and analyzed using univariate analysis. Results showed that the role of peers as an information source was in the sufficient category (70.8%), norm formation in the positive category (91.7%), social pressure in the sufficient category (79.2%), social support in the positive category (91.7%), and peer education in the sufficient category (58.3%). It is concluded that strengthening is needed in information dissemination, resistance to negative social pressure, and peer education optimization. Puskesmas Oka is recommended to strengthen the PIK-R program and train adolescent cadres regularly. Keywords: peer role, adolescent pregnancy, adolescent reproductive health GAMBARAN PERAN TEMAN SEBAYA PADA KEHAMILAN REMAJA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS OKA KABUPATEN FLORES TIMUR ABSTRAK Kehamilan remaja merupakan permasalahan kesehatan reproduksi yang serius di Indonesia, khususnya di Nusa Tenggara Timur di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Oka Kabupaten Flores Timur, kasus kehamilan remaja menunjukkan tren meningkat: 6 kasus (2023), 8 kasus (2024), dan 10 kasus pada semester pertama 2025. Teman sebaya memiliki peran yang sangat strategis dalam membentuk perilaku, norma, dan pengambilan keputusan reproduksi remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan peran teman sebaya terhadap kehamilan remaja di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Oka. Desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan total sampling terhadap 24 remaja putri yang pernah atau sedang hamil. Pengumpulan data dilakukan Maret–April 2026 menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur 40 item yang mengukur lima dimensi peran teman sebaya. Data dianalisis secara univariat. Hasil menunjukkan peran teman sebaya sebagai sumber informasi berada pada kategori cukup (70,8%), pembentuk norma kategori positif (91,7%), pemberi tekanan sosial kategori cukup (79,2%), agen dukungan sosial kategori positif (91,7%), dan agen pendidikan sebaya (peer education) kategori cukup (58,3%). Disimpulkan bahwa penguatan diperlukan pada aspek penyebaran informasi, kemampuan menolak tekanan sosial negatif, dan optimalisasi program peer education. Direkomendasikan agar Puskesmas Oka memperkuat program PIK-R dan melatih kader remaja secara berkala. Kata kunci: peran teman sebaya, kehamilan remaja, kesehatan reproduksi remaja
