Abstract

ASSOCIATION BETWEEN ESTIMATED GLOMERULAR FILTRATION RATE (EGFR) AND HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE AT BANGLI REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive disease frequently accompanied by anemia. Reduced renal function, represented by creatinine-based estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), may be associated with lower hemoglobin (Hb) levels through decreased erythropoietin production and impaired iron metabolism. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between eGFR and Hb levels in CKD patients at Bangli Regional General Hospital. Methods: This quantitative analytical observational study used a cross-sectional design and secondary data from the Laboratory Information System/Hospital Management Information System (LIS/SIMRS) and medical records. The sample included 46 CKD patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 22, including descriptive analysis, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, and Spearman’s correlation test. Results: Respondents consisted of 24 males (52.2%) and 22 females (47.8%), mostly aged 46–65 years (60.9%). All respondents had low eGFR and low Hb levels. Hb was normally distributed (p=0.469), while eGFR was not (p<0.001). Spearman’s test showed ρ=0.051 and p=0.739, indicating no significant relationship. Conclusion: No significant relationship was found between eGFR and Hb levels among CKD patients at Bangli Regional General Hospital. HUBUNGAN ANTARA ESTIMATED GLOMERULAR FILTRATION RATE (eGFR) DAN HEMOGLOBIN PADA PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIS (GGK) DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH BANGLI ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Gagal ginjal kronik (GGK) merupakan penyakit progresif yang sering disertai anemia. Secara teoretis, penurunan fungsi ginjal yang direpresentasikan oleh estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) berbasis kreatinin dapat berkaitan dengan penurunan hemoglobin (Hb) melalui penurunan produksi eritropoietin dan gangguan metabolisme besi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) dan kadar hemoglobin (Hb) pada pasien GGK di RSUD Bangli. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif analitik observasional dengan desain potong lintang menggunakan data sekunder dari LIS/SIMRS/rekam medis. Sampel terdiri dari 46 pasien GGK yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan IBM SPSS Statistics 22 meliputi analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro Wilk, dan uji korelasi. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan responden terdiri atas 24 laki-laki (52,2%) dan 22 perempuan (47,8%), dengan mayoritas usia 46–65 tahun (60,9%). Seluruh responden memiliki eGFR rendah (100%) dan Hb rendah (100%). Uji normalitas menunjukkan Hb berdistribusi normal (p=0,469), sedangkan eGFR tidak normal (p<0,001). Uji Spearman menunjukkan ρ=0,051 dan p=0,739, sehingga tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara eGFR dan Hb pada pasien GGK di RSUD Bangli. Simpulan: Pada pasien GGK di RSUD Bangli, meskipun seluruh subjek mengalami penurunan fungsi ginjal berat dan anemia, tidak ditemukan hubungan signifikan antara eGFR dan Hb.
