Abstract

DIFFERENCES IN HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS USING IMMEDIATELY EXAMINED BLOOD SAMPLES AND VARIOUS DELAY TIMES AT MENGWI 1 PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER ABSTRACT Background Hemoglobin is an important parameter in hematological examinations that functions to transport oxygen to all body tissues. Hemoglobin examination should ideally be performed immediately after sample collection; however, delays frequently occur in healthcare services and may affect the examination results. Objective This study aimed to determine the differences in hemoglobin levels examined immediately and with variations in delay time among employees at Mengwi 1 Public Health Center. Methods This study used 30 venous blood samples collected in EDTA tubes from employees of Mengwi 1 Public Health Center using a simple random sampling technique. Hemoglobin levels were measured using a hematology analyzer. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, the Shapiro-Wilk test normality test, Mauchly’s Test of Sphericity, Repeated Measures ANOVA, and Pairwise comparison. Results The results showed that the mean hemoglobin level decreased from 12,07 ± 0,2312 g/dL in the initial examination to 11,86 ± 0,2221 g/dL after a 5-hour delay and 11,68 ± 0,2201 g/dL after a 10-hour delay. Conclusion There was a significant difference in hemoglobin level examinations performed immediately, after a 5-hour delay, and after a 10hour delay using the hematology analyzer method. Keyword : Hemoglobin, Delayed examination, EDTA, Hematology analyzer PERBEDAAN HASIL KADAR HEMOGLOBIN MENGGUNAKAN SAMPEL DARAH YANG DIPERIKSA SEGERA DENGAN VARIASI WAKTU PENUNDAAN DI PUSKESMAS MENGWI 1 ABSTRAK Latar Belakang hemoglobin merupakan parameter penting dalam pemeriksaan hematologi yang berfungsi mengangkut oksigen ke seluruh jaringan tubuh. Pemeriksaan hemoglobin idealnya dilakukan segera setelah pengambilan sampel, namun dalam praktik pelayanan kesehatan sering terjadi penundaan yang berpotensi memengaruhi hasil. Tujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil kadar hemoglobin yang diperiksa segera dengan variasi waktu penundaan pada pegawai di Puskesmas Mengwi 1. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Sampel berjumlah 30 sampel darah vena dengan tabung EDTA yang diambil dari pegawai Puskesmas Mengwi 1, menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengukuran kadar hemoglobin dilakukan menggunakan hematology analyzer. Analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas menggunakan uji Mauchly’s Sphericity, kemudian menggunakan uji Repeated Measures ANOVA dan uji lanjut Pairwise Comparison. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kadar hemoglobin mengalami penurunan dari 12,07 ± 0,2312 g/dL pada pemeriksaan awal menjadi 11,86 ± 0,2221 g/dL setelah penundaan 5 jam dan 11,68 ± 0,2201 g/dL setelah penundaan 10 jam. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin yang diperiksa segera, ditunda 5 jam, dan 10 jam dengan metode hematology analyzer.
