Abstract

ECO-ENZYME QUALITY WITH VARIETY CARBON SOURCES CANE MOLASSES PALM SUGAR AND COCONUT SUGAR ABSTRACT Eco-enzyme has a major benefit in life, namely as an environmentally friendly solution in reducing organic waste generation. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical and chemical quality of eco-enzyme with variations in carbohydrate sources of sugarcane molasses, palm sugar, and coconut sugar. This study is a quasi experimental study (posttest only) with 10 replications in each treatment. The pH data were analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis test which showed an Asymp. Sig. <0.01 (p <0.05), so there was a significant difference in the pH value of eco-enzyme in variations in carbohydrate sources of sugarcane molasses, palm sugar, and coconut sugar. Based on the results of the study obtained, ecoenzyme with sugarcane molasses as the carbohydrate source is the best ecoenzyme of the three types of carbohydrate sources, namely having an average pH of 2.14, producing a dark brown color, and producing a fresh sour aroma typical of fermentation. Keywords: Eco-enzyme, carbohydrate source, eco-enzyme quality KUALITAS ECO-ENZYME DENGAN VARIASI SUMBER KARBOHIDRAT MOLASE TEBU GULA AREN DAN GULA KELAPA ABSTRAK Eco-enzyme memiliki manfaat utama dalam kehidupan yaitu sebagai salah satu solusi ramah lingkungan dalam mengurangi timbulan sampah organik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas fisik dan kualitas kimia ecoenzyme dengan variasi sumber karbohidrat molase tebu, gula aren, dan gula kelapa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen (posttest only) dengan 10 replikasi pada masing-masing perlakuan. Data pH dianalisis menggunakan uji Kruskal-Wallis yang menunjukkan nilai Asymp. Sig. < 0,01 (p < 0,05), sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap nilai pH eco-enzyme pada variasi sumber karbohidrat molase tebu, gula aren, dan gula kelapa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, eco-enzyme dengan sumber karbohidrat molase tebu merupakan eco-enzyme terbaik dari ketiga jenis sumber karbohidratnya, yaitu memiliki rata-rata pH sebesar 2,14, menghasilkan warna coklat tua, dan menghasilkan aroma asam segar khas fermentasi.
