Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF EFFECTIVE COUGH EXERCISES IN ASTHMA PATIENTS WITH HYGIENE PROBLEMS INEFECTIVE BREATHWAY AT TABANAN HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Asthma is a disease caused by narrowing of the airway due to inflammation. The Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) estimates that nearly 300 million people worldwide suffer from asthma. In the World Health Report 2000, it was stated that asthma is the top five lung disease that causes death throughout the world. Worldwide there are 180,000 deaths due to asthma every year. Based on Riskesdas data (2018), the number of cases is increasing every year, where the prevalence of asthma is recorded at 4.5%. Based on Riskesdas data (2018), Bali is the third highest province with 3.9%. In the Bali region in particular there are five districts/cities with the highest incidence of asthma, namely Klungkung 7.7%, Tabanan 7.2%, Badung 5.9% Denpasar 4 .8% and Gianyar 2.4%. (Rikesdas 2018). The impact of airway clearance due to asthma begins with asthma allergens which will result in the emergence of antigens and antibodies resulting in the release of vasoactive substances which cause increased phlegm hypersecretion. Efforts are given to overcome effective and efficient airway clearance due to asthma to expel sputum, with training effective cough. The implementation which was given for 3 x 24 hours on April 29 – May 2 2024 at the Tabanan District Hospital showed research results with data on reduced shortness, easier phlegm expelled, additional breath sounds decreased. Global Initiatif for Asthma (GINA) memperkirakan hampir 300 juta orang diseluruh dunia menderita asma. Dalam Wolrd Health Report 2000 menyebutkan bahwa asma merupakan lima penyakit paru penyebab kematian di seluruh dunia. Di seluruh dunia terjadi 180.000 kematian akibat asma setiap tahunnya. Berdasarkan data Riskesdas (2018) jumlah kasus semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya dimana prevalensi asma tercatat sebesar 4,5%. Berdasarkan data Riskesdas (2018), Bali menjadi provinsi tertinggi ketiga 3,9%, Di wilayah Bali khususnya ada lima kabupaten/kota dengan insiden asma tertinggi yaitu Klungkung 7,7%, Tabanan 7,2%, Badung 5,9% Denpasar 4,8% dan Gianyar 2,4%.(Rikesdas 2018). Dampak bersihan jalan napas akibat asma diawali dari alergen asma yang akan mengakibatkan timbulnya antigen dan anti bodi sehingga mengeluarkan substansi vasoaktif yang menyebabkan hipersekresi dahak yang meningkat, upaya yang di berikan untuk mengatasi bersihan jalan napas yang efektif dan efesien akibat asma untuk mengeluarkan sputum, dengan latihan batuk efektif. Implementasi yang diberikan selama 3x24 jam pada tanggal 29 april – 2 mei 2024 di RSUD Tabanan. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian dengan data sesak berkurang, dahak mudah dikeluarkan, suara nafas tambahan menurun.
