Abstract

REVIEW LITERATURE STUDY: DESCRIPTION OF THIRD TRIMESTER OF PREGNANCYABOUT INTRA UTERINE DEVICE CONTRASEPTION ABSTRACT Use of contraception is one of the many variables that directly affect birth rates. KB Intra-Uterine Device (IUD) is a long-term method of contraception that is most widely used in contraceptive programs in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is for the knowledge of fertile age women about intrauterine device (IUD) contraception. This research is a literature review study using five international journals and five national journals. The results of identifying journals found that there were some pregnant women who had low knowledge about Intra-Uterine Device (IUD) contraception which was influenced by the lack of information obtained and maternal education. It is hoped that this research can increase the knowledge of women of childbearing age about Intra-Uterine Device (IUD) contraception, for example through counseling about Intra-Uterine Device (IUD) or counseling of Intra-Uterine Device (IUD) contraception to health services.
