Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF NURSING CARE OF CHILDREN WITH TYPHOID FEVER WITH DIARRHEA IN ANGGREK ROOM OF TABANAN GENERAL HOSPITAL 2020 ABSTRACT Typhoid fever (typhus abdominalis) or more popularly known as typhus in the community is an acute infectious disease caused by Salmonella typhi which attacks the digestive tract. These germs enter the body through contaminated food or drinks. Furthermore, the germ is absorbed by the small intestine that enters with food, then spreads to all organs of the body, resulting in swelling and pain. These germs continue to spread into the bloodstream and lymph glands, especially the small intestine. In this intestinal wall, the germ makes oval-shaped wounds or ulcers that result in abdominal pain or cramps. This study aims to determine the description of nursing care for children with fever with diarrhea in the Orchid Room of BRSU Tabanan. This research uses descriptive research with documentation study data collection techniques through two patient documents conducted in April 2020. The results of this study indicate the study of the first and second documents obtained patient data in the form of soft or liquid feces and pain or abdominal cramps and patient body temperature above the normal range. Nursing diagnoses formulated by nurses on the first document and the second is hyperthermia. Nursing planning documented using NIC NOC. The implementation includes general implementation. The nursing evaluation used is SOAP documentation. This case study is expected to be used to develop the quality and quality of hospital services in providing nursing care.
