Abstract
Uric acid is the result of metabolism in the body which levels should not be excessive. Everyone has uric acid in the body because every normal metabolism of uric acid is produced. The trigger is food and other compounds that contain lots of purines. The body provides 85 percent of purine compounds for daily needs, while purines obtained from food only about 15 percent. The purpose of this study is to find out the pattern of purine consumption patterns and uric acid levels in tour guides in Sahadewa Barong and Kris Batubulan dance. This type of research is Observational research with Cross Sectional approach with a total sample of 24 people. The results obtained are that most 62% have normal uric acid levels, 38% have high uric acid levels, 58% have normal purine consumption. The results of the cross tabulation showed that of 9 people (38%) with high uric acid levels, there were 2 (22.22%) people consuming purine source food more than recommended, but there were also 3 people (33.33%) consuming purine less, and 4 (44.44%) consume enough purines. It is expected that tour guides can consume foods that do not contain high purines and are diligent in exercising.
