Abstract
Solid waste is a complex problem to deal because every human activity produces waste. So, that it causes various problems in the landfill site. The purpose of this documentation study is to give a image to the community about the percentage of solid waste that can be reduced if it is divided into households. The method that used is study of documentation. The results of this study get the lowest solid waste generation of 1,27 liters / person / day and the highest 4,9 liters / person / day. Dominated by organik waste, followed by paper and plastik waste with an organik waste range of 25% -76.9%, paper 3% -33%, and plastik 2% -30.04%. The conclusion is that by sorting waste can be reduced by up to 63.52% to 100%. Suggestions for the community need to coordinate with environmental health workers at the local health center in the provision of guidance on waste management such as composting and procurement of waste banks.
