Abstract
Canteen sanitation is an effort to control and prevent transmission of diseases and accidents through an effort to protect people from things that damage survival through efforts to reduce, weaken or eliminate pollutants from food that is served in the school canteen. The function of the canteen is as a place to make and serve food to consumers, then the canteen is as a place to spread disease through food and beverages, building sanitation, sanitation facilities, hygien serving and storage of food and solid and liquid waste. This type of research is descriptive with a location in the village of Ungasan, south Kuta. This research was conducted in five canteens in elementary schools in December 2019 to May 2020. From the observations made in this study, the five canteens received results that were categorized as 2 (40%) and not 3 (60) %). The condition of the building is that the category meets 3 (60%) and does not meet 2 (40%). The condition of category facilities meets condition 2 (40%) and does not meet condition 3 (60%). Hygien food presentation and storage categories meet the requirements 2 (40%) and 3 (60%).
