Abstract

Angka kematian bayi merupakan salah satu indikator dalam menentukan derajat kesehatan anak. Menurut Profil Kesehatan Indonesia pada tahun 2025, asfiksia neonatorum Neonaturum sebagai salah satu penyebab utama kematian bayi baru lahir (neonatal) di Indonesia yang menyumbang sekitar 20-30%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis persalinan sectio caesarea, mengidentifikasi kejadian asfiksia neonatorum pada bayi baru lahir, serta menganalisis hubungan antara indikasi sectio caesarea dengan kejadian asfiksia neonatorum neonatorum. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan survey analitik dengan rancangan cross sectional. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara sectio caesarea dengan kejadian asfiksia neonatorum pada bayi baru lahir. Hasil uji Chisquare diperoleh nilai χ² = 37,333 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Nilai tersebut menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang kuat dan positif, yang berarti semakin tinggi kejadian sectio caesarea maka kecenderungan terjadinya asfiksia neonatorum juga meningkat, dan sebaliknya. Karena nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka hubungan tersebut bermakna secara statistik, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara sectio caesarea dengan kejadian asfiksia neonatorum Kata Kunci : Asfiksia neonatorum neonatorum, sectio caesarea, cross sectional, uji Chisquare, neonatal Infant mortality is one indicator of child health. According to the Indonesian Health Profile for 2025, neonatal asphyxia is one of the main causes of neonatal mortality in Indonesia, contributing approximately 20-30%. The purpose of this study was to identify the types of cesarean deliveries, the incidence of asphyxia in newborns, and analyze the relationship between the indication for cesarean section and the incidence of neonatal asphyxia. This study used an analytical survey with a cross sectional design. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a relationship between cesarean section and the incidence of asphyxia in newborns. Chisquare Test test obtained an χ² value of 37,33 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This value indicates a strong and positive relationship, meaning that the higher the incidence of cesarean sections, the greater the likelihood of asphyxia, and vice versa. Because the significance value is less than 0.05, the relationship is statistically significant, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between cesarean sections and the incidence of asphyxia in newborns.
