Abstract

IMPLEM ENTATION OF DIABETIC FOOT EXERCISE THERAPY TO MAINTAIN STABLE BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS IN TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS Case Study in the Working Area of UPTD Puskesmas II West Denpasar Denpasar City Made Emayani Pulasari Program Studi Diploma III Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar Email : [email protected] ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a group of metabolic diseases with characteristics of hyperglycemia that arise due to problems with insulin work, insulin secretion or both. This writing aims to determine the implementation of Diabetic Foot Exercises for Stable Blood Glucose Levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients in the Working Area of UPTD Puskesmas II West Denpasar, Denpasar City. Descriptive research design with in-depth case study design. The subject of this research was Mr.S, one patient (case). The case study instrument in this research is in the format of nursing care and observation sheets, the data collection method is by screening medical records, the location of this research is in the UPTD Puskesmas II Work Area, West Denpasar and the time of the research was carried out on April 1-3. The results of this study were obtained from major and minor signs and symptoms during the assessment, namely complaints of fatigue/lethargy, high blood/urine glucose levels, dry mouth, increased urine output so that a diagnosis of unstable blood glucose levels was established to carry out nursing care and diabetic foot exercise therapy and this occurred. The reduction in blood glucose levels improved, namely 224, decreased to 188. This research suggests that health services can implement diabetic foot exercise therapy, future researchers can use this research as a reference so that it can be developed and provide other innovations, and for the community they can implement this therapy as a physical activity therapy options to stabilize blood glucose levels. Keywords : diabetes mellitus, diabetic foot exercise   IMPLEMENTASI TERAPI SENAM KAKI DIABETIK UNTUK MENJAGA KESTABILAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 Studi Kasus Di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat Kota Denpasar Made Emayani Pulasari Program Studi Diploma III Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar Email : [email protected] ABSTRAK Diabetes melitus (DM) ialah kumpulan penyakit metabolik dengan karakteristik hiperglikemia yang timbul dikarenakan oleh masalah kelainan kerja insulin, sekresi insulin atau keduanya. Penulisan ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui Implementasi Senam Kaki Diabetik Untuk Kestabilan Kadar Glukosa Darah Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 Di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat Kota Denpasar. Desain penelitian deskriptif dengan rancangan studi kasus mendalam. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Tn.S satu orang pasien (kasus). Instrumen studi kasus dalam penelitian ini yakni dengan format asuhan keperawatan dan lembar observasi, cara pengumpulan datanya dengan melakukan screening pada rekam medis, lokasi penelitian ini bertempat di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat dan waktu penelitian dilaksanakan tanggal 1-3 april. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh dari tanda dan gejala mayor dan minor pada pengkajian yaitu mengeluh lelah/lesu, kadar glukosa darah/urin tinggi, mulut kering, jumlah urin meningkat sehingga ditegakan diagnosis ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah untuk melaksanakan asuhan keperawatan dan terapi senam kaki diabetik dan terjadi penurunan kadar glukosa darah membaik yakni 224 mengalami penurunan menjadi 188. Saran penelitian ini bagi pelayanan kesehatan bisa menerapkan terapi senam kaki diabetik, bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat menggunakan penelitian ini sebagai acuan sehingga dapat dikembangkan dan memberikan inovasi lainnya, dan bagi masyarakat bisa melaksanakan terapi ini sebagai pilihan terapi aktivitas fisik untuk menstabilkan kadar glukosa darah.
