Abstract

THE DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN THE ELDERLY AT BERABAN VILLAGE KEDIRI DISTRICT TABANAN REGENCY ABSTRACT Background Elderly is a group of elderly population. The aging process and physiological changes that cause a decrease in body mass and an increase in fat mass can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and will be related to the body 's degenerative processes caused by uric acid. Uric acid is the end result of the metabolic process of one of the nucleic acids or purines from the body's cells. The purpose of the study was to determine the description of uric acid levels in the elderly in Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. The research method uses a descriptive type of research with purposive sampling technique which was conducted in April-June 2022 with a total of 38 respondents who were taken using primary data on the elderly in Beraban Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. The uric acid level in the elderly was measured by the Point Of Care Testing (POCT) method. The results showed that most of the respondents who had high uric acid levels were male respondents as many as 10 people (66,7%), in the 60-74 year age group as many as 8 people (8,9%), the BMI category in obese respondents as many as 14 people ( 666,7%), and higt blood pressure respondents as many as 8 people (80%). In conclusion , the highest uric acid levels were 23 people (61%). Keywords : Elderly, Gout, POCT method GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA LANSIA DI DESA BERABAN KECAMATAN KEDIRI KABUPATEN TABANAN ABSTRAK Latar belakang Lansia adalah kelompok penduduk yang berumur tua. Proses penuaan dan perubahan fisiologis yang menyebabkan penurunan masa tubuh dan peningkatan massa lemak yang dapat memacu risiko penyakit kardiovaskuler dan akan berkaitan dengan proses degeneratif tubuh yang disebabkan oleh asam urat. Asam urat merupakan hasil akhir dari proses metabolisme salah satu asam nukleat atau purin dari sel tubuh. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada lansia di Desa Beraban, Kecamatan Kediri, Kabupaten Tabanan. Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik sampling purposive sampling yang dilakukan pada bulan April-Juni 2022 dengan jumlah responden 38 orang yang diambil menggunakan data primer lansia di Desa Beraban, Kecamatan Kediri, Kabupaten Tabanan. Kadar asam urat lansia diukur dengan metode Point Of Care Testing (POCT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar responden yang mempunyai kadar asam urat tinggi adalah responden laki-laki sebanyak 10 orang (66,7%), kelompok usia 60-74 tahun sebanyak 8 orang (8,9%), kategori IMT pada responden obesitas sebanyak 14 orang (66,7%), dan responden tekanan darah tinggi sebanyak 8 orang (80%). Simpulan kadar asam urat tinggi terbanyak yaitu 23 orang (61%). Kata kunci: Lansia, Asam urat, metode POCT
