Abstract
Cervical cancer is a disease that ranks third in death in Indonesia, new cases are increasing every year. The death rate by cervical cancer in 2020 is nine percent. The high mortality rate is due to 70% of cases found at an advanced stage. Cervical cancer can be detected by the acetic acid visual inspection (IVA) method. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and motivation of women of childbearing age (WUS) regarding VIA examinations with participation in VIA examinations at the Sukawati I Health Center. This type of study is analytical observational with a cross sectional design, the study sampel is WUS in the working area of Sukawati Health Center. I. The study sample was determined by proportional simple random sampling technique with a sample of 35 people and the research was conducted in April - May. Instrument of data collection by using a questionnaire. Data analysis using a contingency coefficient (x2) with a significance level of p <0.05. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of motivation and participation in the VIA examination (p = 0.00). The Puskesmas is expected to pay attention to WUS regarding the participation of VIA examinations, for health workers to expand the socialization about VIA.
