Abstract
THE DIFFERENCE IN KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDE OF FOOD SERVANTS BEFORE AND AFTER SANITATION HYGIENE TRAINING IN NUTRITION INSTALLATION OF BULELENG REGIONAL PUBLIC HOSPITAL ABSTRACT Food handlers are people who are directly or indirectly in contact with food and it's equipment from the begining (preparation, cleaning, processing, transporting, and serving). Hygiene and sanitation of food handlers while processing a food is very important, because it can minimize the contamination of food. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in knowledge and attitudes of food handlers before and after hygiene and sanitation training at the nutrition installation of Buleleng Hospital. The type of research is a pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design The sample size was 31 samples that met the inclusion criteria. Analysis of the data used is Wilcoxon test. Based on the results, that there is a difference in the knowledge of food handlers in the nutrition installation before and after being given training with p-value of 0.00 (p≤ 0.05) and there is no difference in the attitude of food handlers in the nutrition installation before and after being given training with p-value 0.19 (p≥ 0.05). The provision of sanitation hygiene training to food handlers is expected to be carried out continuously with competent resource persons, so that there can be changes in the knowledge and attitudes of food handlers.
