Abstract
CORRELATION BETWEEN BIRTH WEIGHT AND LENGTH, NUTRITIONAL INTAKE TO STUNTING IN TODDLER AT SEPANG VILLAGE, BUSUNGBIU DISTRICT, BULELENG REGENCY ABSTRACT The incidence of stunting in children under five is a major nutritional problem in Indonesia. Stunting is defined as nutritional status based on the index of height for age with Z score < -2 standard deviation. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the birth weight and leght, nutritional intake to stunting of children aged 24-59 months. The types of primary data that are used include: stunting status, level of energy and protein intake. The secondary data used include: the history of birth weight and length. This type of research is observational with a cross sectional research design. There are 65 samples in this research. This research used proportional random sampling technique. The results showed that 16.9% of todller were stunted, with 4.6% having a history of low birth weight, 3.1% having a stunted at birth, 15.4% having a level of energy intake in the less category, and 13.8% having a level of protein intake in the less category. Statistical test using the spearman rank correlation test, it is known that there is a correlation between the birth weight and length, nutritional intake (energy and protein intake levels) with stunting status in toddlers which can be seen from the p-value < 0 ,05.
