Abstract

ANALISIS KANDUNGAN RHODAMIN B PADA KERUPUK DI PASAR BADUNG KECAMATAN DENPASAR BARAT ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Rhodamin B merupakan zat pewarna sintetik yang digunakan dalam industri tekstil dan dilarang penggunaannya untuk makanan karena zat ini bersifat karsinogenik dan bila tertelan bisa menyebabkan iritasi saluran pernapasan, kulit, mata, saluran pencernaan hingga keracunan dan gangguan hati bahkan kanker. Tujuan : Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan Rhodamin B pada kerupuk yang dijual di Pasar Badung Kecamatan Denpasar Barat. Metode : Penelitian ini dilakukan secara deskriptif, teknik pengambilan sampel dengan non probability sampling dengan metode sampling jenuh. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sampel kerupuk yang berwarna merah. Sampel keuk dianalisis dengan metode Kromatografi Lapis Tipis untuk mengatahui bahwa sampel kerupuk positif atau negative mengandung Rhodamin B. Hasil : Berdasarkan analisis menunjukkan dari 6 sampel kerupukyang digunakan terdapat 6 sampel (100%) yang negatif atau tidak ada sampel yang positif mengandung senyawa Rhodamin B. Simpulan : Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan dapat di simpulkan bahwa kerupuk yang ada di Pasar Badung Kecamatan Denpasar Barat tidak ada yang mengandung senyawa Rhodamin B dan aman untuk dikonsumsi. Kata Kunci: Kerupuk, Rhodamin B ANALYSIS OF RHODAMIN B CONTENT IN CRACKERS IN BADUNG MARKET, DENPASAR BARAT DISTRICT ABSTRACT Background : Rhodamine B is a synthetic dye used in the textile industry and its use is prohibited for food because this substance is carcinogenic and when ingested can cause irritation of the respiratory tract, skin, eyes, digestive tract to poisoning and liver disorders and even cancer. The purpose: This study was to determine the content of Rhodamin B in crackers sold at Badung Market, West Denpasar District. Method: This research was conducted descriptively, the sampling technique was non-probability sampling with saturated sampling method. The sample used in this study was a sample of red crackers. The crackers samples were analyzed using the Thin Layer Chromatography method to determine whether the cracker samples were positive or negative containing Rhodamine B. Result : Based on the analysis, it was shown that from the 6 samples of crackers used, there were 6 samples (100%) which were negative or no positive samples contained Rhodamine B compounds. Conclusions : Based on the analysis carried out, it can be concluded that the crackers There is nothing in Badung Market, Denpasar Barat District, which contains Rhodamin B compounds and is safe for consumption Keywords: Crackers, Rhodamine B
