Abstract

AN OVERVIEW OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN THE ELDERLY IN THE MENEGA ENVIRONMENT, DAUHWARU VILLAGE, JEMBRANA DISTRICT ABSTRACT Uric acid is the result of the destruction of purines, food, and the body's DNA metabolism, which is the main source of purines in the body. Disruption of the balance between production and excretion can cause an increase in uric acid levels in the blood which is called hyperuricemia. To find out the description of uric acid levels in the Menega Environment, Dauhwaru Village, Jembrana District. This research is a descriptive type of research in the Menega Environment, Dauhwaru Village, Jembrana Regency, which was carried out on 22 until 23 April 2022. The population is the elderly aged 45 until 74 years. The sample size is 36 people taken 20% of the population. Respondents were selected using probability sampling technique with simple random sampling. Examination of uric acid levels was carried out using the POCT method. The results is showed that 22 respondents (61%) had high uric acid levels and 14 respondents (39%) had normal uric acid levels. The increase in uric acid levels occurred in respondents in the pre-elderly age category (49-59 years), female, consuming high-purine foods with intake frequency > 3x/week, and not consuming alcohol. drink. Keywords: uric acid, hyperuricemia, elderly GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA LANSIA DI LINGKUNGAN MENEGA, KELURAHAN DAUHWARU, KECAMATAN JEMBRANA ABSTRAK Asam urat merupakan hasil dari sisa penghancuran purin, makanan dan metabolisme DNA yang menjadi sumber utama purin dalam tubuh. Tergangunya keseimbangan antara produksi dan eksresi di dalam tubuh dapat menyebabkan terjadinya peningkatan kadar asam urat dalam darah disebut hiperurisemia. Untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar asam urat pada lansia di Lingkungan Menega, Kelurahan Dauhwaru, Kecamatan Jembrana. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif di Lingkungan Menega, Kelurahan Dauhwaru, Kecamatan Jembrana dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22-23 Bulan April Tahun 2022. Sebagai populasi adalah para lansia yang berusia 45-74 tahun. Besar sampel adalah 36 orang diambil 20% dari populasi. Responden dipilih menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan simple random sampling. Pemeriksaan kadar asam urat dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode POCT. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 22 responden (61%) memiliki kadar asam urat yang tinggi dan 14 responden (39%) memiliki kadar asam urat normal. Peningkatan kadar asam urat terjadi pada responden kategori usia pra lansia (49-59 tahun), jenis kelamin perempuan, mengkonsumsi makanan tinggi purin dengan frekuensi asupan > 3x/minggu, dan tidak mengkonsumsi minuman beralkohol.
