Abstract
THE RELATIONSHIP OF MOTHER'S KNOWLEDGE LEVEL, EXCLUSIVE BREAST MILK AND MACRO NUTRITION CONSUMPTION WITH NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF INFANTS AGED UNDER TWO YEARS AT TABANAN II PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER ABSTRACT Baduta are children aged under two years or aged 0-24 months which at this time is a period of very rapid growth and development of children's gold. Nutritional problems that often occur in baduta are malnutrition problems. The prevalence of malnutrition in Indonesia was 13.9% in 2013, 13.8% in 2018. In Bali there were 9.0% malnutrition problems in 2015, 9.1% in 2016, and 8.6% in 2017. One of the causes of undernutrition problems is the mother's lack of knowledge about growth, including exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mother's level of knowledge, exclusive breastfeeding and consumption of macronutrients with the nutritional status of children under two at Tabanan II Public Health Center. This type of research is observational with a cross-sectional design. The sample size is 53 samples. Data were collected through interviews with the help of a questionnaire. The results showed that most of the mothers' knowledge of the category was sufficient, namely 75.5%. Most of the samples had a history of non-exclusive breastfeeding as much as 68%. Most of the energy consumption in adequate category is 90.57%. Most of the protein consumption category was excessive 58.49%. Most of the fat consumption in the adequate category was 64.15%, the most carbohydrate consumption in the deficit category was 45.28%. The nutritional status of children under two was mostly in the normal category of 86.8%. There is a relationship between mother's level of knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding. There is no relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the nutritional status of children under two. There is a relationship between consumption of energy, fat, and carbohydrates with nutritional status. There is no relationship between protein consumption and nutritional status.
