Abstract

Factors causing hypertension are consumption patterns and nutritional status. Data from the National Health Indicators Survey (Sirkesnas) in 2016 showed an increase in the prevalence of hypertension in the population aged 18 years and over by 32.4%. Based on Riskesdas 2018 data. This study aims to observe the consumption patterns of macronutrients and the nutritional status of hypertension sufferers in the working area of the sidemen health center. This research is a descriptive observational study with a chsexional approach. The subjects who participated in this study were as many as 16 samples of hypertension sufferers. Data collection of subjects' characteristics using questionnaires and data on macronutrient consumption patterns using a 24-hour recall form. Nutritional status by taking anthropometric measurements, and blood pressure. The results of the study with 16 samples, more energy consumption (37.5%), more carbohydrate consumption (37.5%), more protein consumption (81.3%), and more fat consumption (62.4%). Based on the type of consumption of macronutrients, most types of macronutrients consumed in the category varied (87.5%), samples with heavy fat gzi status as much as (43.75%). Samples with high blood pressure prehypertension (6.3%) samples with hypertension blood pressure stage I (68.8%) samples with hypertension blood pressure stage II (25%). The number of samples with high blood pressure, more energy consumption (50%) samples with high blood pressure, more carbohydrate consumption (50%) samples with high blood pressure, more fat consumption (72.7%). samples with high blood pressure, more protein consumption (72.7%) Need to be given counseling on how to improve and maintain normal nutritional status, prevention efforts, and management, consumption patterns in hypertensive diseases.
