Abstract

PENGARUH BRAIN GYM THERAPY TERHADAP TINGKAT DEPRESI PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 DI UPTD PUSKESMAS KUTA UTARA TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Angka kejadian diabetes melitus di Indonesia mencapai 2,8% dan di Provinsi Bali sebesar 1,33%. Pasien diabetes melitus dapat menjadi depresi akibat tekanan dari penyakit yang memerlukan perawatan jangka panjang untuk menghindari komplikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh brain gym therapy terhadap tingkat depresi pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2 di UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara pada tahun 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pre experimental dengan jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah One-group pre-post test design. Sampel yang didapat adalah 18 orang pasien diabetes melitus tipe 2. Pengujian statistik menggunakan menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Tingkat depresi pasien diabetes melitus sebelum diberikan terapi pada kategori depresi sedang yaitu sebanyak 10 orang (55,6%). Tingkat depresi pasien diabetes melitus setelah diberikan terapi pada kategori depresi ringan yaitu sebanyak 15 orang (83,3%). Hasil uji Wilcoxon, diperoleh nilai p = 0,008. Karena nilai p < 0,05 berarti bahwa ada pengaruh brain gym therapy terhadap depresi pada pasien dengan diabetes melitus di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara Tahun 2022. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa terdapat pengaruh brain gym therapy terhadap depresi pada pasien dengan diabetes melitu di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara Tahun 2022. Kata kunci : brain gym therapy, depresi, diabetes melitus tipe 2 THE EFFECT OF BRAIN GYM THERAPY ON DEPRESSION LEVEL OF TYPE 2 DIABETES MELITUS PATIENT IN UPTD PUSKESMAS KUTA UTARA ON 2022 ABSTRACT The incidence of diabetes mellitus in Indonesia reaches 2.8% and in Bali Province it is 1.33%. Patients with diabetes mellitus can become depressed due to the stress of the disease which requires long-term treatment to avoid complications. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brain gym therapy on the level of depression in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at the UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara in 2022. This study used a pre-experimental research design with the type of research used was One-group pre-post test design. The samples obtained were 18 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Statistical testing using the Wilcoxon test. The level of depression in diabetes mellitus patients before being given therapy in the moderate depression category was 10 people (55.6%). The level of depression in diabetes mellitus patients after being given therapy in the category of mild depression was 15 people (83.3%). Wilcoxon test results, obtained p value = 0.008. Because the p value < 0.05 means that there is an effect of brain gym therapy on depression in patients with diabetes mellitus in the working area of the UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Utara in 2022. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of brain gym therapy on depression in patients with diabetes mellitus in the area UPTD North Kuta Health Center in 2022.
