Abstract

The Relationship Between Age and Nutritional Intake Of Pregnant Mothers With The Event Of LBW In The Working Area Of Puskesmas Bangli Bali ABSTRACT Indonesia is ranked the 9th highest in the world regarding the incidence of Low Birth Weight (LBW), which is 15.5% or even more, seen from the birth of babies each year. In 2019, the percentage of babies with LBW in Bali was 2.7% of the total live births of 65,665 people and the percentage of LBW in Bangli was 3.8%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age and nutrient intake of pregnant women with the incidence of LBW in the working area of Puskesmas Bangli, Bali. This study used quantitative research with analytical descriptions using a Cohort design. The sample used was all pregnant women in the third trimester for 3 months who had their pregnancy checked at the Puskesmas Bangli, totaling 68 people. Statistical testing using the Spaman Rank Test. The majority of pregnant women in the working area of the Puskesmas Bangli have a non-risk age (85.3%) with normal intake of energy (83.8%) and protein (82.3%) and give birth to babies with normal weight (83.8%). Based on the results of the Spearman Rank statistical test with α = 0.05, it shows that there is a significant relationship between age and nutritional intake of pregnant women with the incidence of LBW with p-value < α which is 0.001 for the relationship between age and LBW and 0.000 for the relationship between nutrient intake with LBW. Key Word : Age, Energy Intake, Protein Intake, LBW, Pregnant Women
