Abstract

Autism is a developmental process disorder that occurs in the first three years which causes disturbances in language, cognitive, social and adaptive functions, so that these children are increasingly lagging behind in development compared to their peers. There are several disorders caused by people with autism, one of which is disorders of the digestive system, namely food allergies, food intolerances, gluten intolerance and so on. Autism is not just a mental weakness but a mental development disorder, so sufferers experience sluggishness in their abilities, physical and psychological development. People with autism also need education and guidance like other normal children, because children with disabilities also have the potential to be developed. Nutrition is very influential on the development and growth of the human body, besides that nutrition can also create human body resistance. In other words, with adequate and balanced nutrition, we can avoid diseases such as infections, coughs, fevers, flu and others. Nutrition is very influential on the development and growth of children, because good nutrition is the main function to obtain good physical and mental conditions. Nutrition has a very important influence on the development and intelligence of children, because intelligence is an activity of mental function that has an important relationship with health. If the child lacks nutrients, it will cause the organs in the body to not be able to grow or develop properly, so that it will cause damage to the child's growth and development process.
