Abstract
RELATIONSHIP OF ENERGY, MACRO NUTRITIONAL INTAKE AND INFECTIONAL DISEASES WITH PREGNANT MOTHER'S CHRONIC ENERGY LACK IN PHC OF TEGALLALANG I ABSTRACT Chronic Energy Lack is the result of an imbalance between food intake and energy expenditure. Riskesdas data (2018) shows the percentage of its is 17.3% in Indonesia. The prevalence in pregnant women based on upper arms circumference in Bali Province is 11.64%. In pregnant women there are several things that affect nutritional imbalances, namely food intake and infectious diseases, pregnant women who have adequate food intake but are sick will experience nutritional imbalances which result in decreased body resistance so that they are susceptible to disease. Based on this, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between energi, macro nutritional intake and infectious diseases with chronic energy lack of pregnant women in the PHC of Tegallalang I working area. This type of research was observational with a cross-sectional approach. Nutritional intake data was carried out using a 2x24 hour recall method, infectious disease data were obtained by interview. Chronic energy lack status is seen from the sample’s measurement of upper arm circumference. The number of samples are 66 people using proportional random sampling technique. The results showed that the sample's energy intake was less (51.6%). While the intake of protein (57.6%), fat (56.1%) and carbohydrates (53%) had good categories. Based on the results, only 5 samples (7.6%) had an infectious disease, namely anemia and as many as 10 samples (15.2%) had chronic energy lack. The results showed that there was a relationship between the level of energy consumption and chronic energy lack, there was a relationship between the level of protein consumption and chronic energy lack, there was a relationship between the level of fat consumption and chronic energy lack and there is no relationship between the level of carbohydrate consumption with chronic energy lack. And there is no relationship between infectious diseases and chronic energy lack. Keywords: nutritional intake, infectious disease, and chronic energy lack
