Abstract

Descriptions of Students' Knowledge About Human Papilloma Virus Immunization in 1st Senior High School of Kuta Badung in 2021 ABSTRACT One of the types of cancer most feared by women is cervical cancer. Many teenagers in Indonesia have had premarital sex. The vulnerability of adolescents to be infected with HPV has led the government to launch a cervical cancer vaccine program. Badung Regency is the first district in Bali to have a policy of giving free cervical cancer vaccinations to high school students. This policy was implemented in 2012 and was shown to students attending public high schools. This study was to describe the knowledge of class X students at SMAN 1 Kuta about Human Papilloma Virus immunization. This research method is a descriptive method using a cross-sectional subject approach. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire that was filled in directly by respondents who met the criteria. The sample of this research was 110 students of class X at SMAN 1 Kuta. Data were collected using a google form questionnaire and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that 55.5% of respondents had good knowledge, 42.7% of respondents had sufficient knowledge, and 1.8% of respondents had insufficient knowledge. Respondents who have a good level of knowledge about Human Papilloma Virus immunization will increase the chances of respondents having good preventive behavior against cervical cancer.
