Abstract

The maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Bali Province in 2018 reached 52.2 per 100,000 live births. Anxiety is a factor that can cause complications of bleeding, hypertension, infection and anemia in pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of pregnant women in the third trimester who experienced a level of anxiety in dealing with normal delivery at the UPTD Public Health Center II Health Office, South Denpasar District. The type of this research is descriptive with cross-sectional approach with non probability sampling technique purposive sampling method. The sample is 51 pregnant women in the third trimester. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire in the form of a google form and a KIA register. The results showed that most of the third trimester pregnant women experienced mild anxiety in the age range of 20-35 years (54%), had sufficient knowledge (55,8%), received support from their husbands (62,5%), did not work (53,3%). So the conclusion from this study is that most of the third trimester pregnant women experience mild anxiety aged 20-35 years, have sufficient knowledge, with supportive husbands and most pregnant women do not work. It is recommended for third trimester pregnant women to seek accurate and reliable information so that before the delivery process they do not experience a very heavy level of anxiety.
