Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF KNOWLEDGE AND MOTIVATION OF FERTILE AGE WOMEN CONCERNING VISUAL INSPECTION OF ACIDIC ACID AT TABANAN I HEALTH CENTER ABSTRACT Visual Inspection of Acidic Acid (VIA) examination is an alternative screening for cervical cancer. Data from the Health Office of Tabanan Regency in 2018 entire Health Center in Tabanan Regency have carried out cervical cancer early detection activities, namely by VIA examination. The Health Center with the lowest coverage was Tabanan I Health Center at 5%. This research method is a descriptive method using a cross sectional subject approach. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire that was filled in directly by respondents who met the criteria. The sample of this research was 130 female prostitutes in the working area of the Tabanan I Health Center. Data were collected using direct questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. The results show that 55% of respondents had good knowledge, 20% of respondents had sufficient knowledge, and 25% of respondents had insufficient knowledge. The results of the motivation research show that 80% of respondents have positive motivation and 20% of respondents have negative motivation. With good knowledge, respondents will better recognize the signs and symptoms of cervical cancer, and be motivated to perform VIA examinations. Researchers suggest for the next research in order to develop variables and use other better information methods. Keywords: Knowledge, Motivation, VIA, Fertile Age Women
