Abstract
THE CORRELATION BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE OF YOUNG WOMEN FIBROADENOMA MAMMAE AND THE ACT OF DOING BREAST SELF-EXAMINATION AT SMAN 1 KUTA ABSTRACT Data from Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung stated that in the last 10 years not a few patients came with complaints of lumps in the breast, 16% of women came with benign breast tumors and only 8% were breast cancer. According to the results of research conducted by Helfiana at the Santa Elisabet Hospital, Medan on 75 respondents, the highest proportion of FAM sufferers based on age was the age group less than 35 years of 72.8%. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Kuta because there has never been any counseling related to BSE. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between adolescent knowledge of mammary fibroadenoma with breast self-examination (BSE) attitudes at SMAN 1 Kuta. This type of correlation analytic research with probability sampling approach. Implementation on March 22, 2021 with simple random sampling method. The sample is 77 teenage girls in class XI at SMAN 1 Kuta. Data collection by distributing knowledge and attitude questionnaires. The results of bivariate analysis using chi square test and obtained p value = 0.012, because p value < α (0.05). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and attitude towards breast self-examination. Adolescents who have high knowledge tend to do breast self-examination as an early detection of Fibroadenoma Mamae. It is hoped that the school will develop more related to the KSPAN program, especially on breast self-examination. Keywords: Knowledge Of FAM; BSE Attitude; Young Women.
