Abstract

NURSING CARE AIRWAY CLEAREANCE NOT EFFECTIVE IN PATIENT WITH HEAVY HEAD INJURY IN RSUD KARANGASEM 2021 ABSTRACT A head injury is a series of pathophysiological events that occur after head trauma, which can involve any component, ranging from the scalp, bones, and brain tissue or a combination of them. Head injuries are also one of the leading causes of death and disability in productive age groups and most occur as a result of traffic accidents. The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to perform and analyze ineffective airway clean-up nursing care in patients with severe head injuries. Nursing care was given to two patients diagnosed with severe head injuries with ineffective airway clean-up nursing problems at IGD RSUD Karangasem. Interventions provided based on the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standard (SIKI) namely airway management, with the focus of innovation interventions namely airway patent monitors and suction. The external and criteria of the expected results based on the Indonesian Nursing External Standard (SLKI) namely increased airway cleanness include decreased dyspepsia, decreased ronchi, improved breathing patterns, improved breathing frequency. The results obtained are nursing problems in both patients are equally resolved, but better results occur in patient 1 because there are some criteria of external results that are expected to be achieved, namely dyspepsia, decreased ronchi. It can be concluded that suctioning can help improve airway cleanness, but the time to achieve the goal depends on other health factors that the patient has.
