Abstract

Head injury is a sudden blow or impact on the head with or without loss of consciousness. According to WHO every year around 1.2 million people die with a diagnosis of head injury. The purpose of this study was to find out how nursing care for the risk of cerebral perfusion was ineffective in patients with moderate head injury in the ER Sanglah Hospital. The results showed that both patients had decreased consciousness. The nursing diagnosis established in both patients was the risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion as evidenced by head injury. One of the interventions given is head up 30° to reduce the patient's ICP and MAP. The evaluation that was obtained after being given nursing care for 1x2 hours was a decrease in ICP and MAP in the main managed patient from 113 mmHg to 103 mmHg, while the second managed patient experienced a decrease in MAP from 116 mmHg to 106 mmHg which proved that giving a 30° head-up position proved to be effective. reduce ICP and MAP in CKS patients. It can be concluded that giving a 30° head-up position can reduce ICP and MAP in CKS patients. Advice given to nurses in the room to consider using a 30° head-up position in CKS patients.
